The Zhong Tie headquarter tower will form
the heart of the new Hou Hai Central Business District.
Being the smallest office tower in the area, it is designed with the concept of
an urban open space in mind, comprising a garden and a large pond. Two-toned
glass curtain walls help emphasise the concept of the design i.e., an arch
overlooking a central garden.
Sustainable features include low-E glass
curtain walls, operable windows for each office unit to improve ventilation,
and sunshading devices to protect the glass facade from direct sunlight. Also,
the 2,000-square metre lobby opens up to the north and south exteriors,
providing ample natural breeze into the interior and cafe area.
