The inspiration for this project originates
from the appreciation of art and nature, specifically in relation to oriental
culture. The high-rise complex integrates aspects of traditional Chinese
paintings into its design, with certain features representing significant
Chinese characters such as the mountain and water elements. The curvature
effect of the facade, created by horizontal balconies, symbolises the fluidity
of water while the towering structures amongst low-rise buildings parallel the
form of mountains. The top of the residential and hotel tower where a sky bar
is located is highlighted in white glazing, creating an image of a snow
peak.
On the street level, an outdoor timber canopy along with landscaped
greenery offers a breathing space for residents/visitors. An arc-shaped bridge,
which houses the show flat and banquet room, sits over the Jin River. With an
irregular outline of the site, a complicated programme was planned to fit into
the area. Despite that, the design of this development provides a maximised
view of the waterway.
