Located at the Central Business District of
BSD City, this building is the headquarters of an automotive financing and car
rental company in Jakarta. The building comes with a variety of facilities such
as a car showroom, customer service counter, a workshop with 16 stalls of car
servicing units on the ground floor and an additional six floors of office
space.
The car showroom is the determining factor
for the design of the building. It is aimed at allowing cars to be well
displayed, creating a positive environment for clients to view and engage in
business dealings with ease. The building's concept is mostly influenced by the
VR6 engine. The interpretation can be seen through each individual floor's
showroom, which symbolises the head piston, while the connecting bridges among
showrooms represent the handlebar piston. The design has been made to allow
full view of the interior from the outside, where it is exposed to two sides of
the road along the BSD Boulevard.
The building's layout is divided into two
main parts. The showroom, customer service counter and public facilities area
make up the first. The area behind consists of six layers, the first and second
layer function as a public showroom while the rest is used as office
facilities. Semi-basement levels function as a workshop while the two levels of
the basement are used as a parking area with a total of 110 lots. Although
structurally challenging, the cantilever structure and honeycomb steel help
build the connecting bridge in the car showroom platform. Water in the building
is recycled for irrigation and sanitation purposes, as well as for washing
cars.
