The Breeze is part of BSD Cities new Office Park Development which was developed by the same architects under Singapore's Green Mark District scheme for which it has received Building and Construction Authority's Gold Award in 2011. The integrated lifestyle mall will form a major component of the new Office Park and aims to be a lifestyle destination for the whole of West Jakarta. Located next to the Cisadane River and overlooking a man-made lake, the project deviates from typical retail malls through its strong relation with the landscaped surroundings and a different blend of leisure components including food and beverage outlets, a triple sports hall with gym and outdoor pool, cinemas, supermarket, educational and retail outlets all under one roof.
The building is seamlessly connected with the surrounding park landscape where small kiosks accommodate rental facilities for sports activities on and around the lake to complement the mall's lifestyle offerings.
A key design feature of The Breeze is The waterfront terraces overlooking the lake and Cisadane River. Numerous F&B outlets ranging from coffee shops to specialty dining are located along the terraces, so that visitors can enjoy performances on the lake stage or simply soak in the atmosphere. Full height movable glass panels allow tenants to operate either under air-conditioned or al fresco conditions to suit weather conditions. A large, public roof terrace offers uninterrupted views of the lake and river and serves as a large gathering space for special events and celebrations combined with a large play court for children.
Internally, a progressive spatial movement from the larger to the smaller atria is being created as part of the design circulation strategy to direct visitors through the retail and F&B areas. Strategically located skylights provide daylight for all internal atria.
