On first impression, the distinctive wing-like building symbolizes flight and vitality-a representation of a seabird or butterfly about to take off. However if one looks at it from a different angle from the sea and Yuzhizhou island—the structure appears as a begonia flower in blossom against a backdrop of green hills and blue ocean, symbolizing a bright future for Begonia Bay.
Besides being an iconic image, the ‘wings‘ reflect their inherent function. The expanded wings offer nearly 700 villa-style apartments with an aerial bay view over its own infinity pool. With the mainly 130-square metre two-bedrooms and 90-square metre one-bedrooms, the units offer all the features of an ordinary villa. Additionally, there are 24 top suites at the edge of the wing facing the sea. A dedicated tourist programme brings visitors to the sightseeing lobby at both wings; at a height of 180 metres, they can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of begonia Bay.
Greenery and natural elements in the area include the water curtain at the entrance, canyon views, hill and water features, the central lake area, the hotel's landscaping, forests by the Seashore, and the central landscaping for the villa resort clusters. The hills and the central Iake create a good foundation for an attractive resort and tourist destination.
